Downtown Ischgl. A mix of old and new. Old era buildings with brand new shops at the street level. It's definitely a resort town. We only saw one little old lady the whole trip...and a lot of English was spoken everywhere. The 'Dorf Tunnel' in the background was a people mover to get you from the center of the village to one of the ski gondolas. Pretty impressive investments this resort has made...did I mention the massive avalanche control gates on all the dangerous slopes above the village and the parts of the highway? Huge steel barricades, that almost seemed transplanted from Normandy!?!
