The birthplace of Solidarity

Solidarity Monument to the strikers who lost their lives in 1970-amazingly erected under Soviet rule-one of the bases has a poem by Czeslaw Milosz that says:

You, who have wronged a simple man,
Bursting into laughter over his suffering,
DO NOT FEEL SAFE. The poet remebers.
You can kill him - another will be born.
Words and deeds will all be written down.
