The Krakow Barbican, 1498. Part of the medieval fortifications-the first thing the enemy must get through before crossing the moat(where the asphalt is now) and going through the Florian Gate. Remarked as one of very few surviving structures of its kind in Europe, and perhaps the largest and most beautfiul.
